Boise, Idaho (AP) A man accused of killing his girlfriend’s second-year Boise high school student and a bystander with a car was sentenced Monday to 15 years to life in prison.
The Idaho Attorney General’s Office said Tuesday that the 34-year-old man, who prosecutors say was on the street when he fatally shot 17-year old Annette Boudreau, was arrested Saturday and booked into the Boise County Jail on a second-count felony murder charge.
Authorities say Boudiers mother told police that Boudoirs boyfriend pulled her into the driveway of her home in a black Nissan Altima and began chasing her when she refused to get out of the car.
Boudreau was shot multiple times and died at the scene.
Her death has prompted calls for tougher gun laws in the state, including a ban on guns in vehicles.
