Tesla Motors has extended its guarantee to its second-generation electric car platform, offering the same guaranteed prices for second- or third-hand cars on its new platform.
The company said the offer would be available on the platform starting from July.
Tesla’s first-generation platform has been sold in India to three manufacturers.
In addition to Tesla, Toyota Motor and Honda Motor Co. are offering guaranteed second hand prices on the new platform as part of the first wave of investments in the country by the Japanese automaker.
Last month, Tesla said it would start selling its first car on the Japanese market next month.
The US-headquartered company’s second- and third-generation platforms are now sold in six countries in the world.
The platform’s most expensive model, the Model X, is currently the best-selling electric car in the US.
