
The Tesla Motors electric car company has announced the second-generation of its Tesla Semi.
It has priced the vehicle at $27,900 and is expected to be available in late 2019.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said the Semi will be capable of handling the demands of the “world’s largest cities”, including Los Angeles and San Francisco, which the company expects to have a population of 40 million by 2030.
Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, has also promised that the second generation of the Tesla Semi will “give people more freedom, autonomy and comfort in the cars that they own”.
Mr Musk has been working on the Semi since late 2016 and announced it in May this year.
It is expected the car will have a range of up to 220 miles and will be equipped with a suite of driver assistance features.
The Semi has been built to withstand extreme conditions, including snow, rain, water and extreme temperatures.
