Tesla is offering to guarantee second- and third-hand cars in Hawaii, offering a $1,000 guarantee.
The company is offering a second- or third-generation Tesla Model S or Model X for $1 to $2,750 and an older Tesla Model 3 for $2 to $3,000.
In an announcement on Thursday, Tesla said it would offer a $500 guarantee for the older Model 3.
Tesla said the second-level guarantee will cover the costs of repairs or replacement of any defective part.
Tesla will provide a second level of guarantee to all customers.
The company also said it will reimburse the cost of replacement or repair for any second-generation Model S vehicle, Model X vehicle, or Model 3 vehicle purchased from any retailer in Hawaii.
Tesla also announced plans to offer an online store for the second level guarantee.
Tesla is offering an online guarantee for customers who purchase a second or third Tesla Model, Model S, Model 3 or X. Tesla says it will send customers a $5 Amazon gift card if they buy a second Model S in Hawaii or $20 Amazon gift cards if they purchase a third Model S. To be eligible for the guarantee, a second and third Tesla or Model S must be in a new or used condition and have not been used since it was purchased.
Tesla does not require that customers purchase a car from the company.
If a customer is approved, they must then fill out a second online reservation form, which requires customers to indicate whether they have any questions about their second or last-generation vehicle or the status of their reservation.
Tesla also says that in addition to the second and second-year guarantee, customers will receive $200 to $1 from Tesla for each new second- to third-gen Model S and Model X.
Tesla’s Hawaii business announced on Thursday that it had signed a $300 million, 20-year, joint venture agreement with Tesla.
