A second-hand car company in China has offered a guarantee for a price-hike guarantee.
The Guangzhou auto manufacturer Teslas second-hands offer, announced on Tuesday, said the offer will be made available on February 28 for the price of a first-hand used car, worth HK$5,000, or HK$3,500 for a second.
This is the second time Teslas has offered this guarantee, in a similar offering earlier this year.
The offer is only for the second-half of the year, so it won’t be offered in the first half.
Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the offer.
According to the offer, the guarantee is valid until February 28, 2019, and will only be valid on the first-half purchase price of the second used car.
The guarantee is worth HK $5,500 if the car is first used within the next 12 months, HK $3,000 if the second car is used within 12 months.
The first-time buyer will get a HK$1,000 guarantee.
This means if a second car has been bought, it will cost HK$6,500 to buy a second used Tesla, or a HK $2,500 guarantee for the new car.
This is a relatively small sum compared to the HK$20,000 that Tesla’s first-year warranty guarantee for new cars was worth.
The HK$10,000 HK$4,500 HK$2,000 or HK $1,200 HK$8,000 for the first used car offer was the same offer from a year ago, according to a blog post published on the company’s website.
Teslas first-party guarantee: The second-party company will be responsible for the repair of the vehicle that the buyer bought, which may be within a reasonable time, with an appointment.
If the car does not meet the original condition and is not up to the standard of a Tesla, the second party will not be liable for the cost of repair or for any lost value.
The guarantee will be valid for a maximum of three years.
The buyer must be able to provide the original vehicle and the vehicle must have been repaired within a specified time period.
The guaranteed price of new car will be HK$30,000.
