The Hong Kong-based company that makes Teslas says it’s the best value for money.
And so it’s making its first car offer to customers in the city.
Teslas are the latest in a long line of luxury cars to be offered for sale in Hongkong.
The carmaker unveiled its new electric-car maker-teslas-offer, which is guaranteed to bring in more than double the prices of comparable cars from other suppliers, for sale starting today.
The offer includes a 30 percent discount on the cost of a second-hand Teslas that can also be used to buy other cars.
The offer is one of several from other major carmakers to offer to the city’s first-time buyers, but it’s one of the first to include a guarantee that they can take home a Teslas instead of a car of their own.
“The price difference between our car and a secondhand car, is a significant difference, so the best choice for a first-timer would be the Teslas,” said the company in a statement.
“The best value is for the first time buyer.”
Teslas, which was first released in 2015, are already sold in Hong kong.
They’re priced between HK$3,000 ($2,200) and HK$4,600 ($4,100), with a range of 400 kilometers (250 miles).
A second car can cost HK$10,000.
The company said it has plans to offer the Teslas for sale to consumers in the near future.
“There’s no guarantee, but we have an offer we can offer the first-timers in the next few weeks, so we can make them an offer,” the company said.
“We believe that there are many consumers who don’t want to drive their own cars, and this is a way for them to get a new car at a very low price.”
Teslas are the first cars ever to have been sold in mainland China, but the city has become increasingly popular in recent years as it has become home to more than a million Chinese millionaires and billionaires.
In 2017, more than 6.5 million people visited Hong Kong, according to the latest figures from the city government.
The government has been trying to attract more residents and businesses to the area by opening up shopping centers, hotels, and new housing projects.
